How fees work

What you pay depends on how you pay. Each answer is here in plain words, and the front desk goes through yours before your first visit.

  • Insurance we work with

We bill many kinds of plans and tell you whether we are in network with yours before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company.

    • Most PPO plans

    • Medicare Part B

    • Medicaid

    • Workers' compensation

    • Auto injury coverage

  • If you pay yourself

If you do not use insurance, you pay on the day of each visit. We tell you what to expect before you book, and we do not bill your plan.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

If your plan may reimburse you, we give you an itemized receipt, called a superbill, to send in. Your plan decides whether it pays you back.

  • An estimate in advance

If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect your care to include and cost. If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it. You can ask for an estimate at any time.

  • Checking your benefits

Our front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what they find, before your first visit. Your plan sets your copay, deductible and coinsurance.

  • What the first visit includes

About an hour with a physical therapist. They listen, examine your hand and arm, explain what they find and agree on a plan with you. They also explain the risks and the choices.
